Etape DU TOUR TRIP
The Etape du Tour 2019 with Alpine Cycling
Join Alpine Cycling to take part in the mythical Étape du Tour Race. We will look after the logistics, get you to the right place and the right time, provide an ARGON18 bike to ride if you wish and put you up in a gorgeous Chateau hotel, complete with bike workshop, sports massages, and training and tapering rides in the days leading up to the race. Years of experience riding the Etape and organising trips will ensure that everything runs smoothly for you.
The Hotel
Prepare yourself for the race in luxurious surroundings, we will greet you at the airport, make sure you’re in the right place at the right time and have even prepared some little extras for you, sports massge, thermal spa and amazing meals, specially adapted for your needs, to give you the energy you need for the race.
The Route
An amazing experience riding the route that the professionals will ride a few days later, with the roads closed to all other cars it really is a race not to be missed.
The race involves lots of challenging climbing, with a positive altitude gain of 4563m. After leaving Albertville, you will climb the Cormet de Roseland, and descend into Bourg st Maurice for a little respite while crossing the Isère valley, before climbing the Cote de Longefoy to arrive at the village of Notre-Dame-du-Pré. A technical descent then follows, before attacking the final seemingly endless climb at an average of 5,5% to reach the highest finish line in the history of the Tour at an altitude of 2,365 metres, for a well deserved finishers beer!

- 9am Reconnaissance of Etape du Tour finish, ou Tour des Bauges depending on the groups wishes.
- Lunch en route in café.
- Spa as option
- Dinner at Château.
Saturday 20th July
- Morning 2 hour flat ride
- Followed by rest, relaxation.
- Visit Etape du Tour Village, collect race number.
- Evening Sports massage
- Early dinner at Château.
